On August 22-23, the Board of Natural Resources (BNR) will be holding its annual retreat in Whatcom County. This is an important opportunity to deliver our simple message: “Commissioner Franz and BNR, become the climate champions we need you to be: enact a mature forest conservation policy NOW!” We will rally on August 22 near the Bellingham Four Points Sheraton where BNR members will be staying. We are also organizing creative interventions to get our message across throughout the entire retreat!
This all-ages-friendly rally will be a chance for us to tell DNR we want our forests to be managed for climate change and biodiversity, not just for timber profits.
We are looking for musicians, clowns, performers, sign makers, artists, and speakers to help make this action special!
