The protests against the proposed Jamestown S’Kallam Tribe’s healing clinic; the “takeover by appointment” of the Sequim City Council; the firing of our city manager Charlie Bush; the City Council resolution to condemn COVID safety measures. And then the November 2021 City Council election where a slate of five “good governance” candidates won their elections by 2 to 1 margins.
First came regional and national reporting about Sequim. Then came Sasha’s article in The Nation Magazine (The Town that Qanon Nearly Swallowed). And now his new book, Chaos Comes Calling, and Sasha’s visit to Sequim for a book release and book reading event.
