Join the Oregon Chapter Forest Team for a special webinar presentation with Jessica Applegate and Paul Koberstein, authors of Canopy of Titans, a new book that explores the science of the extraordinary Pacific Coast Temperate Rainforest. During their presentation Paul and Jessica will feature behind-the-scenes stories from their years of on-the-ground reporting as they discuss the threats the rainforest faces. They’ll also delve into the science that shows why protecting the rainforest from commercial logging is an essential part of solving the climate crisis.
About the presenters:
Author, environmentalist, and photojournalist Jessica Applegate is a 2023 Oregon Book Awards Finalist, and has written numerous articles about environmental issues as managing editor and photographer for the environmental journal, Cascadia Times.
Paul Koberstein serves as the editor of Cascadia Times, a publication he co-founded in 1995. He was previously a staff writer for The Oregonian and Willamette Week. In 2004, he won the John B. Oakes Award for Distinguished Environmental Journalism in the United States.
