One sign of the Trump administration’s bad faith in their intention to repeal the Roadless Rule, which has protected some 60 million roadless acres from extraction, degradation, and fragmentation, is that they only provided a scant two weeks for public comment on their proposal. This is hardly the way any reasonable democratic government would go about floating a radical new policy! Contrast that with the months spent gathering comments on the original Roadless Rule proposal…the difference is night and day.
