Dakota Access has begun work on a pump station just north of Des Moines that would allow it to double the flow oil across Iowa. Please take a few minutes to take these critical actions:
WATCH and then share this short video with at least ten people, and ask them to share it as well. We’re sending the video to President Biden and Vice President Harris to remind them of their stated opposition to DAPL. We’ve also sent it to the Iowa Utilities Board.
WRITE to the President and Vice President, using this link. Remind them of their promise to shut down DAPL. Ask them to do it now!
ALSO WRITE to the Iowa Utilities Board at this link and ask them to reverse their 2020 decision and stop Dakota Access from moving forward with its expansion plan. Let’s do all we can to stop this pipeline while we have a chance! The climate emergency is worsening at a rapid and frightening pace. As The Guardian reported on January 8, 2021, “The climate crisis continued unabated in 2020, with the joint highest global temperatures on record, alarming heat and record wildfires in the Arctic, and a record 29 tropical storms in the Atlantic.”
