Nov. 6 and Nov. 7: A chance to protect Clallam County’s older forests

**Monday, 11/6, 10:00 am: Dr. Catharine Copass from Olympic Forest Coalition will present “DNR Natural Climate Solutions Program – Opportunities in Clallam County” during the county commissioners’ work session. Listen in or zoom. Links HERE.

**Tuesday Nov 7 at 10am: Make a public comment, on Zoom, in person, or by email at the Commissioner meeting. Though the topic is not on this week’s agenda, comments encouraging the protection of older DNR forests can be made at the end of the meeting. Find info for commenting in the Center for Responsible Forestry (CRF) comment guide HERE.

Nov. 7, 5pm: Bridging the Divide with Dr. Katharine Hayhoe – Third Act’s Faith Affinity Group extends an invitation to join Dr. Hayhoe to discuss how we might reach across cultural divides and have values-based conversations about climate change. Dr. Hayhoe is the chief scientist for The Nature Conservancy and was the lead author of three National Climate Assessments. The Guardian calls her book, Saving Us: A Climate Scientist’s Case for Hope and Healing in a Divided World,” one of the most important books to have been written about climate change.”  Join the discussion with this Zoom link.
