The annual Wooden Boat Festival is a maritime celebration with antique and modern wooden vessels. This extravaganza offers three days of festivities with over 300 boats on land and water, 100 presentations, 50 exhibitors, live music all day every day, interactive exhibits for kids, and plenty of local food, beer, and wine options to satisfy everyone. The 45th annual festival is open to the general public for three days in September (10,11,12). Because the Festival opens on Sept 9 to just the “locals” at no charge, the Corn Booth is setup and begins selling crowd pleasing hot buttered corn-on-the-cob on that day.
Volunteers of past years will remember the Corn Booth camaraderie and future volunteers can look forward to a really fun experience. On the day(s) you volunteer for just four hours at the Corn Booth, you will have free admission to the Festival. Come join in the fun while shucking or cooking or selling ears of corn to help support community events and activities across the north Olympic Peninsula.
This year’s proceeds are earmarked to support ecosystem and stewardship projects on the Olympic Peninsula and Salish Sea in addition to the annual Geek Out – Science & Technology Celebration.
