  • SB 5116 would set a target of moving Washington State to 100 percent clean energy by 2045
  • HB 1110 would help reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation industry — the largest emitter of climate-busting carbon pollution in the state

  • SB 5811 would require a percentage of cars sold in WA be zero-emission vehicles
  • HB 1257 would help make buildings more energy efficient
  • House Speaker Frank Chopp: (360) 786-7920 ·

HB 1112 – HFC Phase-out – Due date: 4/4/2019 – Message:

Please vote yes on HB 1112 in your Senate Ways and Means Committee.  I support this bill, which phases out the sale and use of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), which are primarily used as refrigerants, by 2024.  HFCs are extremely potent greenhouse gases with existing alternatives for their use.

HB 1578 – Oil Transport safety – Due date: 4/4/2019 – Message:

Please vote yes on HB 1578 in your Senate Ways & Means committee.  The proven oil spill prevention tools in this bill would ensure that vessels carrying crude oil in high risks areas have the same requirements as oil tankers.
